This morning, Jonas got his first major booboo. As I have said in previous post, both Nolan & Jonas have become monkeys. They can climb up & onto everything! Well, as I was getting their breakfast ready this morning at our 5th wheel, the boys were playing in their bedroom. They have an entertainment center in the middle of their bedroom that has shelves on the bottom. I glanced in their room to check on them just in time to see Jonas standing on top of the entertainment center. Well, I couldn't get there fast enough. In the blink of an eye, my lil superman flew off. Thankfully, I still had pillows in the floor which is where he landed. However, on the way down, he scraped his nose on the wood. My heart sank as I saw him look up and realized he was bleeding. I scooped him up and hugged him so tight- and he wasn't even crying!! Scared me more than him! He is such a tough guy! I know this is the first of many, I'm just not sure how many I can take!

A weekend on the lake & the ADT mishap!

We had a very eventful weekend that lasted up into the wee hours Monday morning- keep reading. We started Friday by heading to the RV resort for the weekend. We were looking forward to having time together since I had worked several night shifts last week! We had smores on Friday night, my favorite! Saturday morning, we loaded up the bicycles and rode to Roane Co. Park. We played tennis before heading back. Chris & I aren't very good, but we have fun trying :) Saturday afternoon, we took off with Mimi & Poppy in their boat and went to Blue Springs Marina for lunch- its definitely our favorite place on the water to eat! Saturday night, Chris & I got spend hours of time together after we put the boys to bed! Sunday morning, we loaded up and headed to church. I don't think Nolan was ready to leave the nursery when it was time to go! Sunday afternoon, we were lazy but still managed to play with the boys and take them to the swings. We went to bed thinking we would get up when Chris' alarm went off as he had class and I would pack up our stuff and head back to our house for a couple days. Well, at 5am, Chris' cell phone rang startling us both. Within 5 seconds, Chris had jumped out of bed and was dressed with me yelling, "whats wrong??" I could tell by the way he was moving that something was wrong and by the look on his face, he was dreading telling me. He told me to be calm and stay with the boys (they slept thru it all) but that ADT had called his parents because we were not answering our house phone and said that our fire alarm was going off and it was showing that we had a fire in the hallway in our house! Amazingly, I did not panic at all! I told Chris to call me as soon as he got there. As soon as he walked out, I started praying. I knew it was in God's hands and whatever the case was, we would be ok. Our pictures are in a fire safe, my camera was with me, and most importantly, my boys were sleeping soundly in their bedroom. Well, Chris said he did 95mph the whole way to our house and made it in 5 minutes. The fire truck and sheriffs dept had beat him here along with his parents. Luckily, there was no fire. We are still unsure of what caused our alarm to go off. ADT told us it could be dust on the sensor that got too hot. Thankfully, we are all safe at home tonight, in our house! I learned a lot about myself this morning and I'm thankful for God's timing & blessings! Enjoy all the pictures from this weekend!

Bicycles & More!!

Chris and I have been trying to figure out a way to exercise together and actually take the boys with us. I am taking dance classes (yes, leotard & tights dance class!), but Chris wasn't up for dance- can you believe that?!? Before, we either went at separate times so the other could stay with the boys or we had to ask someone to keep the boys. We love riding bikes together and started searching online for seats for the boys when we found this buggy! We love it and so do the boys! It has 2 seats and even room for toys and cupholders! It also folds flat which makes it easy to pack into the car and take to the park! We ride daily now and the boys get giggly when they see the buggy! Not only do the boys love to ride, they will play in it while we play tennis, etc! We played 2 games of shuffleboard the other day before they even noticed that they were just sitting in the buggy! Enjoy the pictures- its pretty comical!

My Days with my boys!!

Everyday seems like a new adventure at our house. The boys are both growing so fast. I often wonder if I will be able to hang on to each memory forever- I pray I do. I find myself laughing constantly at the amazing things the boys do, the silly faces they make, and how they look for their daddy when I say no! They literally amaze me everyday. Yesterday, Jonas bumped his head (this is an everyday thing, you just can't protect lil boys all the time!) and started crying. Ten seconds later, here came Nolan walking up to Jonas with his binky & he put it in Jonas' mouth! My heart just melted! They are always doing things like that and I watch in amazement just knowing that they will always have a special bond that most people can't even imagine. They are still doing everything together, rarely leave each others side. Nolan's favorite place is the steps. He loves to sit on the 2nd step (I guess the first one isn't high enough) and watch everything. He will sit there forever and just watch while Jonas brings him toys to the steps! They are both walking, though Nolan is more like running everywhere. Jonas smiles on cue which is the cutest thing you've ever seen! While they share everything well, they are both mommas boys and don't like to share me. They'll try and push the other one off me- which makes me laugh. All in all, I can say that I'm blessed beyond words with 2 beautiful healthy boys that I adore more than life itself. They are still sleeping from 9pm to 8am. We play after breakfast, eat lunch, go on a stroll, and they still nap from noon-3pm! They are very easy boys and I'm blessed to get to spend my days with them! Enjoy the pictures!!!

Nolan & Jonas get a new look!!
Yesterday I finally broke down and took the boys to get their first haircut. Since everyone (and when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE) had been on me for several months to get their haircut, I decided to go ahead a bite the bullet. I knew they needed it, but I was so afraid that getting their haircut would take the "baby" away from them and leave them looking like little boys. I just wasn't ready to loose their curls, not to mention that the "shabby" look is in! So I packed up my camera and 2 ziplock bags (you know I'm saving the hair and putting it in their scrapbooks!) and we all headed to town. My mamaw came with me. I wasn't sure if I would need help or not. Everyone had told me that the boys would cry, especially their first time! I wanted to be able to take pictures so having mamaw their would be great. On a side note- my mamaw has been amazing! I don't know what I would've done over the past two weeks without her. She loves coming to our house and playing with the boys and I adore watching them put smiles on her face. She watches the boys so I can run errands and go to the grocery store and such- I couldn't be happier leaving my boys in her care. Its a well known fact that I think the world of my mamaw and have always been VERY close with her. She was so excited to come experience the boys 1st haircut! Nolan was up first. I knew Nolan would do well, but he exceeded my expectations. He sat like a big boy the entire time, never shed a tear, and clapped when he was done! Jonas was next. I had worried a little more about Jonas because he is attached to my hip and generally doesn't do well letting new people touch him. He's quick to push them away! I held his hand for a lil bit until I got him comfortable. He was such a big boy, never cried, and smiled at himself in the mirror the entire time! Vickie was amazed at how well behaved they were (sorry- proud mommy moment!) While I am told constantly that boys are the most behaved boys many people have ever seen, esp at such a young age, I was nervous because their appt time was naptime! But they did great, fell asleep as soon as we got them back in the car, and slept for 3 straight hours! I am so blessed. Ok- finally the good part- here are the before, during, and after pictures!!

Ice Cream Anyone??!!??
This video is of Uncle Davis sharing his ice cream with my boys. Yes- my boys were eating ice cream at 10:30pm- but we were on vacation!! We had been out to eat in Myrtle Beach and on the way back to the condo, Cindy & Davis stopped for ice cream. Little did Davis know that he was going to be sharing his with the boys! Jonas & Nolan have LOVED uncle Dave from day 1- always attacking or clinging to him. We are so sad that Cindy and Dave are so far away now!! Enjoy your ice cream Davis- it won't be long til we're there and you're sharing it again! And not much longer til we're all together for good :) Pay attention to how bad Nolan wants the ice cream...he starts bouncing up and down! And both Jonas & Nolan love on uncle Dave- and Nolan is giving out kisses!

My lil Noisemakers!!!
While Jonas & Nolan have mastered several easy words- they always seem to carry on conversations that their daddy & I can't understand! Its so fun to watch them interact with each other! They keep us smiling for hours! Here is another video from vacation of the boys talking in the pool. Notice how they keep each other going! Then imagine our house on a daily basis :)

Jonas LOVES the water!!
Sorry I'm a little behind on postings. We've been trying to enjoy whats left of the summer and in the mix of Cindy & Davis moving to Seattle, spending time on the lake, and me having my tonsils out, I got behind on blogging! But I'm back!
This video is from our vacation to Myrtle Beach. I swear if I had a couple more months to work with Jonas, he'd be swimming! He loves jumping in the water and going under! He holds his breath and shuts his eyes! I'm such a proud mommy!! Nolan likes to jump but doesn't get as excited! Pay attention after the first jump- a lil boy swims up and Jonas sits down to "talk" to him- but ends up waving at him instead! Enjoy!!
