The best Christmas ever!!

Our 1st Christmas with the boys was great! Saturday night, we started our running around. Christmas Eve we had to be some where every 2 1/2 hours- I know! And with 2 babies! But the boys hung in there like champs...sleeping during the short drives from place to place and waking up to visit. With the exception of a few rough moments due to teeth popping thru (and quickly fixed with some baby orajel), the boys laughed the entire night! They loved all their presents- way too many to name along with way too many people to thank! We are so blessed to have such amazing family & friends who love our boys so much! We hope each of you had a safe & happy holiday! I took way too many pictures to post, but here are a few...enjoy!Chris, Jonas, Me, Nolan, Dad, Barbara, Diane, Russ, Davis & Cindy- What more could a father ask for? The boys love their Pops! And thanks Barbara for all the monogrammed bibs, burp cloths, & blankets! (the bibs in this picture say "Dear Santa, I have been so good! I want a dump truck. Love Jonas/Nolan" They were a hit!
Nolan in his new walker (thanks Mimi)- Corbin loved pushing him around!
Mimi & Jonas....Look at that face! He is his father made over!
Jonas opening presents with papaw on Christmas morning
Nolan on Christmas morning
See this- this is how I spend my day :) Pulling them off each other! They love to touch but they have NO idea what gentle means :) This is Jonas being "gentle" with Nolan!
I guess Nolan's bib taste better than Jonas'....Anything brother has, Jonas wants- and vice versa!

Christmas with the Wades

Saturday night, we had Christmas dinner & excanged presents with Greg's family. As always, the food was amazing- so we ate too much- and we had a great time!

Jonas playing with DavisYes! I found his mouth!
Cindy letting Nolan taste chocolate- which he loved! Aunt Cindy & Nolan chewing on his shirt! Both Nolan & Jonas now have their 1st tooth!!
Mom- I had it first!!

Playtime with Nolan Kole

It is very rare that Jonas & Nolan don't sleep at the same time- so when it does happen, I love to spend some quality time with the one that stays awake! This was my chance with Nolan. Words can't even begin to describe how amazing being a mom is- and having twins is twice the blessing. They have this unbelievable bond that will melt your heart. I can't imagine life getting any better! Anyhow- Nolan loved the Christmas tree and the presents- mainly just the paper! Here are a few pictures of Nolan playing with the tree and anything else he could get his hands on!

The tree taste so good!

Mommy- you want a taste??

Hi Daddy!
Sitting up so good- and he loves bananas!

Our 2 year Anniversary!!

It is so hard to believe that Chris & I have been married 2 years! How quickly time goes by! Last year I had a trip planned to the Grove Park Inn in Ashville, NC for a weekend of sight seeing and spa visits :) Yes, I did say last year! However, I found out I was pregnant a month before our trip and had to cancel (because I couldn't do the spa visits which made up a large portion of our trip!) So this year- we finally got our trip! Having an anniversary in the winter is fabulous! Everywhere is decorated for Christmas and you get to go on a trip before summer vacation comes! So off we went to Ashville- and we had the best time! Finding time to spend with my husband and best friend is hard with 2 lil boys at home- so this was amazing! We visited the Biltmore (which was probably the most beautiful place I've ever been), had a amazing dinner, drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, and enjoyed the Grove Park Inn all in 2 days! I can honestly say that 2years & 2 kids later- we are still going strong and looking forward to many more anniversaries! Chris is the love of my life. I know that I can always count on him to listen and make me smile! He has given me 2 beautiful boys and a world of happiness! I thank God every night for blessing me with such an amazing husband! Enjoy the pictures! And Thanks to Mimi & Aunt Cindy for watching the boys so we could spend some time together- we love you!

We love pictures. They are our treasures!
He looked so real! The Grove Park Inn

The National Gingerbread house competition had just taken place and Chris & I were lucky enough to get to see all the houses! So hard to believe that its completely edible! What's funny is the fact that we watched the competition on the Food Network the night before we left :)
An amazing view from the Blue Ridge Parkway! Smores! Dessert at Frankie Bones- our Anniversary dinner! The filets were good but nothing topped the Lobster! It was amazing!

Me being silly- we love to smile :)
How gorgeous is this? The Biltmore

Congrats Uncle Davis!!!

Uncle Davis gratuated with his Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Logistics last Friday! What a milestone to reach! We just wanted to tell you that we are so proud of you...you're now 1 step closer to moving to Seattle! We love you both!

Update

Updates! Sorry its been a while- but with Christmas, our anniversary, and keeping up with the boys, I've been busy! The boys are now 20lbs each and will be 6 months old Friday! Its so hard to believe! They continue to brighten our lives with each passing day. Nolan has become completely fixed on his toes! He is constantly sucking on his big toe while his lil toes smack his nose- its one of the funniest things I've ever seen! Jonas is so close to crawling! He is mobile as he has learned to scoot by pushing with his knees while on his belly. He just hasn't grasped the arm movement- so for now he scoots on his forehead! Its funny but I'm sure he'll be crawling in a matter of days! They are both amazed by the Christmas tree and love helping me wrap presents (although they just eat the paper!) We are looking forward to next week as we start our own family Christmas traditions! Hope everyone has a safe & happy holiday :)

Family Tradition

Its hard to believe that its Christmas time already!! Its even harder to believe that this is mine & Chris' 3rd Christmas as a married couple! Wow how time flies! One of our Christmas traditions is decorating his parents tree. We decorate, eat, & play games! After eating lots of chicken casserole ( or the barnyard pimp as Chris would say) and spinach & artichoke dip- Jot & Brenda put up the tree. Then it was up to us girls to decorate...I'd have to say we did a good job! Then it was time for homemade hot chocolate & Rook! If you know anything about this family- its that we LOVE to play Rook! And Chris & I came out on top :) Now that we have 2 new additions to our family- Chris & I are looking forward to starting our own traditions at our house! Enjoy the pictures!

Papaw, Nana, & daddy took a break while us girls did some decorating!Nana loved walking around with the boys! This is Nolan with her...
Beth & Leann adding some ornaments...how pretty is the tree!?!

Aunt Neenan & Jonas, Aunt Bessy with Nolan...they love the boys so much!
Jot, Brenda, Leann, & Beth- we just want you all to know that we love you all very much! I couldn't ask for a better family to be a part of! You all have accepted me at times when I wouldn't let you all in & you never gave up on me- for that I'll be forever grateful! You shower my boys with love and treat me as if I'm one of your own. I love you all from the bottom of my heart and I'm proud to call you all my family!

A Weekend at Mimi's

Last weekend while daddy went hunting, we stayed at mimi's! Mommy was so excited to get to spend the weekend with her mom & sister and bring us along too! We were pretty lazy all weekend though we did manage to go out and eat and had a couple visitors. It was an exciting weekend- but we were all excited to see Daddy come home Sunday night! We sleep much better in our own cribs :) Enjoy the pictures!

Jonas wanted to help aunt Cindy do laundry!!
He ended up getting lost in it!

She also is certified to do a wide variety of other things including full body waxing and ear candling.... daddy even let her wax him :) We love you Aunt Bessy and we are so very proud of you!

How we spend our days...

I never in my wildest dreams ever thought I would be a stay at home mom (though I never thought I'd have twin boys either!) Being home with them everyday is such a blessing! Since its so cold outside, I try to come up with "fun stuff" we can do inside. Thanks to working with babies at a daycare all 4 years while I was in college, I have more ideas than you could ever imagine! I love watching my boys grow and experience new things! My 1st idea consisted of putting the boys in their high chairs and pouring cold wet noodles out for them to play in. Wow- was this ever an experience! Enjoy the pictures!

Nolan & Jonas before we started....they are such happy boys :)

Bring on the noodles!! The first touch was great! The boys didn't know what to think about them! But believe me, they got the hang of it!

Nolan had noodles everywhere! How he managed to get noodles behind his ear is beyond me!

Jonas didn't want me to take them away! Look at those eyes- he was on a mission!

Nolan figured out how to throw them! Just imagine my kitchen floor :)

Jonas was amazed at how they wiggled! By the end of play time, the boys were wore out!
