Memorial Day Weekend!!!

I'm a little late on this post, but better late than never! Last weekend, we had so much fun with the boys, family, and friends! Friday night, we got to the RV park ready for cookouts, swimming, and enjoying our boys! Friday night, my dad took us out on his boat to the marina to eat dinner! The boys LOVE boat rides and loved pops letting them drive the boat and Aunt Cindy letting them sit up front! Saturday, we took the boys out on our boat with Aunt Beth and Robert. We ended up on Scot & Lisa's houseboat anchored out. They had a blow up kiddie pool on top and the boys LOVED playing in it with their cousins! Saturday night, Chris' parents came to the RV park and we all cooked out! After they left, we enjoyed watching pops dance as the RV park provided entertainment all weekend! Sunday, we left the boys with Pops so Chris and I could enjoy some time together. We took our boat to the Sandbar where we got to see a lot of our friends. Mom was also there along with Cindy & Davis & their friends! We had a lot of fun- maybe a little too much :) Sunday night, we had a ton of people over for a cookout- the bar-b-q chicken turned out to be a hit! After putting the boys to bed, we all made smores over a camp fire and played cards until late! Once again, Cindy and Davis won. Monday, Chris and I were lazy with the boys! We took them strolling, played in the pool, and hated packing up to come home! We stopped by Chris' parents for a cookout on our way home- needless to say, we were wore out from such a busy weekend and ready to be home and rest! Hope you had a great weekend and remembered why we celebrate the holiday! We live in a great country and are blessed with many people willing to give their lives to defend us! Enjoy the pictures!

Congrats Aunt Neenan and Uncle Moe!!

Since I have failed to update everyone- here's a quick recap. Moe finally got to come home at the end of April! We have had a great time getting to know him. He's such a warm person and genuinely loves Leann to pieces! It's so good to finally see her happy! Now, back to the wedding. They were planning on getting married next month while we were in Destin, however, I think it was just hard for them to wait. So they decided last weekend would be the time! So in a week, we all put together a wedding! (And I thought I planned mine fast!) It turned out to be a beautiful ceremony. Jot and Brenda walked her down the isle together which was precious! The songs were great! Bethanie and I served as bridesmaids while Chris and Robert were groomsmen. The reception included a sit down dinner and dancing. We all had a lot of fun! Leann- I couldn't be happier for you! I'm so proud to call you my sister and I love you dearly! Moe- she's truly one in a million. I hope you two have a lifetime of happiness. May God richly bless your marriage! Enjoy the pictures!

Mothers Day 2008

My first mothers day was such a wonderful day! We stayed at the RV Resort for the weekend. Sunday morning, Chris got up with the boys and let me sleep...but as soon as I heard them laughing, I couldn't wait to see them! But Chris told me I had to stay in bed, so I did. A few minutes later, Chris came up the stairs into the bedroom holding Nolan. Nolan brought me 3 red roses. Then daddy brought Jonas with 3 more red roses. After snugglin with the boys for a while (they LOVE rolling around in big beds!), Chris gave me a card and a gift from "my boys." The card was adorable as Chris and the boys had made it themselves. I would much rather have something creative and know his heart went into it than anything money could buy! The card was great! I also got a gift certificate to a bakers store and a beautiful ring! The ring has 2 diamond flowers- Chris said they each represented one of my boys! I tell you, I have the most amazing husband ever! Sweetie- you are definitely my better half! After finally getting up and getting ready, we loaded the boys and headed to church. After church, we went to my mom's house where her side of the family always get together to celebrate and eat lunch. Jonas and Nolan got a lot of love from everyone which always means the world to me! We left moms and headed to Chris' aunt Phyllis' house where his moms family was meeting. We ate and let the boys show off and get more love from everyone there. Finally, it was time to head home and rest and love on my 3 boys! I have learned over the past 10 months since having Jonas & Nolan that a mothers love has endless depths. I can't begin to describe all the wonderful feelings the boys have brought to me. I feel so blessed to have 2 healthy boys who are my whole world! And to my mother & best friend- I love you with all my heart. You are my hero and I hope that I can be to my boys what you've always been to me. You are nothing short of amazing and I will always cherish our closeness. You've been my rock when I thought no one would care, you've lifted me up when I just knew I had failed, and you've given me the motivation to accomplish my dreams when I wanted to quit. Your strength, wisdom, and love are so admirable! Your love for my boys brings me to tears. I thank God everyday for giving me such a wonderful mother. I love you.

Mothers Day 2007! Date on the picture is off. This is a month before delivering! Jonas and Nolan were kicking and Chris thought we might capture a footprint on my belly! It was so amazing to watch them flip and see 4 lil feet poking out!

Lake boys!

Last weekend, Chris and I took the boys on their 1st ride in our boat! Last summer, they were too small- so we were really excited to have them out! After slathering them down in sunscreen and putting their life jackets on, we were off! At first (before we started moving), the boys were both in tears. They HATED their life jackets! But as soon as we took off and the wind started blowing, they were laughing! Chris and I watched and laughed as the boys babbled to each other, smiled, and looked around! They are such lil troopers and we can't wait to watch them all summer as they experience new things!
Me & my boys!!
Nolan and his big grin! Jonas is smiling, but he won't dare let go of the binky!
I think they like the lake and boating as much as their daddy and I do!
Me and Jonas- He got sleepy and finally fell asleep without crying the first time!
Nolan was too busy helping daddy drive the boat!
He is such an angel- and is getting a head full of curls...just like his daddy ;)

Splish Splash....

My boys love taking a bath!!! In fact, if they hear the water running, they crawl as fast as they can to the bathroom, pull up on the tub, and start beating on the side of the tub and laughing! Its so funny to watch! Here are a few pictures from their baths a couple nights ago!
