Memorial Day Weekend 2009

Memorial Day weekend was our kickoff to summer & boy did we have fun! We started off Thursday night by packing everything & heading to the campground! You have no idea how much the boys love the campground! Friday we spent being lazy & going out to eat! Saturday morning, we packed our things, yet again, and headed to the marina to take the big boat out & tie up with Lisa & Scot who were anchored out on their houseboat. I was curious how the ride was going to be since it was just Chris & I with the boys but they did great! They helped daddy drive and I was the DJ...haha! After getting settled in, we all grilled out on the houseboat. The boys played with all their cousins (yes, 7 kids under 7 and actually 4 of them are 2 and under!) and had a big time. When they finally wore out, we put them to bed and we got to enjoy our "big people" time! We stayed up until 3:30am! After eating breakfast with everyone on Sunday morning, we headed back to the marina! The boys took a nap on the way and Chris & I enjoyed being us! When we got back to the campground, we cooked out with Mimi & Poppy and rode the golf cart around. The boys LOVE driving! We had ice cream sundaes and made it to bed late again! I couldn't believe the boys stayed up until 11pm! Monday we took a boat ride with Mimi & Poppy to Blue Springs Marina to eat lunch and when we got back to the campground, we swam for HOURS! All of my cousins were there with their kids which was great considering my boys just adore all of their big cousins! That night, we went to Chris' parents house for a cookout! It was a VERY busy weekend and we enjoyed watching the boys have so much fun! They are at just the perfect age to enjoy everything! Enjoy!
